Allan Bezanson

Vice Chairman & Director

Allan is the Vice Chairman and a Director of Greenfire. Allan has been an Executive Vice President of Capital Markets of Founders Advantage Capital Corp. where he was responsible for developing, analyzing and executing the capital market profile for the company. He began his career in Calgary, where he developed deep energy industry experience, structuring, financing and leading domestic and international mergers and acquisitions. He is an experienced capital market executive having raised in various teams more than $700 million dollars of capital and is specialized in leveraged management buyouts, advising on trust conversions, reverse takeover and select trading strategies. He currently sits on three public boards and three private boards.

He has a Bachelor of Commerce from Dalhousie University.

David WerklUnd, LLD (hon)


David is a Director of Greenfire. He began his career in 1965 at Shell Canada before founding Dave’s Oilfield Services in 1970. In 1979 he founded Concord Well Servicing in 1979 and grew it to the third largest well service company in Canada. In 1984, he founded Canadian Crude Separators (CCS). In 2012, CCS and its twelve related divisions came together under the name Tervita Corporation, a privately-held company with $5+ billion in revenues and over 4,600 personnel.

An entrepreneur at heart, continues his entrepreneurial endeavours through Werklund Ventures and is chairman of RS Technologies, a company that produces composite utility poles. He is also chairman of Payload, an innovative technology company focused on the oil and gas industry with a purpose to streamline collaboration between producers and their service providers.

David’s commitment to excellence in business and his philanthropic generosity have brought him many honours. He was named Ernst & Young’s Canadian Entrepreneur of the Year; he has received an Honorary Doctorate of Laws Degree from the University of Calgary and an Honorary Degree in Applied Technology from SAIT Polytechnic; he has been inducted into the Calgary Business Hall of Fame and the Canadian Petroleum Hall of Fame; in 2006 he was named one of Alberta’s 50 most influential people by the Globe and Mail, Financial Post and Calgary Herald.

Dr. William Roach


Dr. Roach is a Director of Greenfire. Currently he is a Director at Prairie Provident Resources Inc., is the Chief Executive Officer of NewCo Oilsands, a spin off from Paramount Resources, and serves as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Cavalier Energy Inc. He was Interim Chief Executive Officer and President of Marquee Energy Ltd., was the Chief Executive Officer of Calera Corporation, the Chief Executive Officer of SilverBirch Energy Corporation, and the President and Chief Executive Officer of UTS Energy Corporation.

Dr. Roach has a successful 25-year track record directing and managing the design, construction, and delivery of large, capital-intensive, national and international upstream oil and gas projects. He has worked internationally for Shell and British-Borneo, and on the east coast of Canada for Husky Energy. Dr. Roach is a professional engineer in Canada and the U.K. and holds a B.Sc. in metallurgy and a Ph.D. in physical metallurgy.

Rick Pawluk, LLB


Mr. Pawluk is a Director of Greenfire. He has extensive experience in corporate and securities law including initial public offerings, equity and debt financing’s, public and private mergers, takeover bids, acquisitions and disposition transactions and business combinations. He has acted for several publicly traded and private oil and gas exploration and production companies with assets in Canada, the United States of America, Egypt, Pakistan, Albania, Portugal, Colombia and Turkey, advising on all types of domestic and international financing, acquisition and divestiture transactions. Rick has been the director and the corporate secretary of several publicly traded and private oil and gas corporations and other organizations.

He has an LLB degree from the University of Manitoba and is a member of the Law Society of Alberta, the Canadian Bar Association and the Institute of Corporate Directors.

Harry Warner


Mr. Warner is a Director of Greenfire. He has been the president and owner of Warner Petroleum Corporation and Warner Fuels since 1986. Warner Petroleum is a wholesale fuels and energy supplier and operator of bulk liquid and marine terminals.

He has a BS BA from Western State College.

Alan Cooper


Mr. Cooper is a Director of Greenfire. He is responsible for deal sourcing, execution and the ongoing management of investments at Stream Asset Financial (SAF). Prior to SAF, he was the CFO of a Calgary based private equity firm and was and investment banker at a Canadian bank owned dealer where he specialized in the energy sector.

He holds a Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia, is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Financial Analyst.
